A river city, told in context
About Tourism Whitehorse
An independent, city-level travel guide shaped around the Yukon River and contemporary Whitehorse.
A city guide with the river in view
Tourism Whitehorse is an independent informational travel guide. It exists to help visitors understand Whitehorse as a destination in its own right: a compact northern capital where river, forest, trails, arts, food, public life, and wider Yukon journeys connect.
Whitehorse is located on the traditional territories of the Kwanlin Dün First Nation and the Ta’an Kwäch’än Council. That relationship cannot be reduced to a design motif or a single paragraph. Cultural information on this site should point toward First Nations-led sources, accurately credit knowledge and authorship, and distinguish living contemporary communities from generalized “northern” storytelling.
How the guide works
Evergreen articles focus on useful geography, season-aware planning, and the connections between places. Current prices, schedules, closures, access conditions, and availability are left to the organizations responsible for them. When a booking provider is configured, its live data is shown as provider data rather than rewritten as an editorial claim.
